E. S. Levy Building

Also known as the National Hotel Building

Left abandoned for nearly 20 years with an open sky light acting as a five story waterfall during the heavy island storms and  home for many Galveston pigeons, demolition and clean up began in January 2000. Three months later we were left with a skeleton of a building, structural system left nearly intact; except for some severe problems caused by the years of neglect.
